What is Riverstone Retreat?

A holiday getaway destination for Pastors, Ministers and Leaders and their families.

What do we offer?

Our upstairs apartment has two bedrooms and cozy open planned living. The master has a Queen bed and the rear larger room has single bunks and a single bed. Heating in winter is by a very efficient log fire. The balcony overlooks our main house and up and down the valley. The environment is quiet and peaceful.

• Walk the paddocks and pet the Alpacas. Swim the river in summer.

What we require of you?

If you are a Pastor or Elder, we can likely confirm this on your churches website. If your ministry is less public, please let us have the opportunity to contact your pastor or leader to verify who you are. When you email, just provide a contact.

We ask all guests to bring their own bed linen and preferably towels. On request we can provide these, however it is not preferable.

Why only Pastors and Leaders?

For now, we must refine our ministry and vision. Having spent many years in leadership and management, both of us understand the need for rest. To be blunt: People burn you out. My tractor never argues with me, my hammer never asks for a pay rise and I never get offensive emails from my guitar amplifier. Pastors and leaders however are always working with Gods children. All, including myself are broken. Our ministry is to provide an escape to recharge your internal batteries. In saying all of that, if you don’t feel you fit the criteria but desperately need to get away with your family; we don’t really want to turn people away. After all, we, the church are Christs inheritance. How could we say no to him?
